Eating foods that are packed with nutrients provides the body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can help you live your healthiest life. Regularly incorporating leafy greens, berries, cruciferous vegetables, whole grains, and nuts can make for a healthier you! Vow to incorporate more of these superfoods in your diet every day.

Leafy Greens. Rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, iron and magnesium, leafy greens can boost the immune system, promote vision and skin health, as well as improve digestion. Add greens such as spinach, kale, arugula and bok choy to your daily diet.

Berries. Berries are nutritious, as well as delicious! They are a great source of fiber, which many people do not get enough of. Berries are also full of antioxidants and offer anti-inflammatory properties.

Cruciferous Vegetables. Foods such as broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts contain glucosinolates. These glucosinolates help to reduce your LDL (bad) cholesterol. Cruciferous vegetables also have antimicrobial properties that can support the immune system.

Whole Grains. Eating whole grains is associated with a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Replace the refined grains in your pantry with whole grains and you will be on your way to better health.

Nuts. Nuts are tasty and very convenient to include in your diet. They are a great source of magnesium, selenium and vitamin E, as well as fiber. Try adding almonds, pistachios or walnuts to your leafy greens!
